1. First In, First Out
During the beginning of July SARS has more assistance from other sections to finalize all their audits/reviews. This results in a quicker turn around time for possible refunds to be paid out.
2. Avoid Penalties
Submitting your returns early will give you peace of mind, knowing that you won't be paying pointless penalties.
3. Skip Silly Season
Like most businesses, SARS works on skeleton staff from 15 December to 15 January, which means that if you leave your returns until the end of the filing season in November, they may take longer to finalize. This also leaves little time for objects or queries against your returns.
